Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

We deliberately collect very little. Your account consists of:

• Your email address (identifies the account and is how we contact you)
• Your password, stored only as a cryptographic hash — we never see it in plain text
• Your plan, and the date the account was created (which determines when your trial ends)
• Metadata about your workspaces: name, environment, size, status and event history

2. What we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, phone number, address or tax details, and we never receive your card number: top-ups happen in Aquedra Cloud through its payment providers.

The contents of your workspace — your notebooks, data and files — are not personal data we process for our own purposes. We do not read them, index them or use them to train anything.

3. Why we can process it

We process your email and account data to perform the contract you enter into with us when you create an account. We process technical and security data (such as anti-abuse checks) based on our legitimate interest in keeping the service running and safe. When we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use one cookie: your session token, which keeps you signed in for seven days. It is strictly necessary — without it you cannot use the panel.

For audience statistics we use Umami, an analytics tool we host ourselves on our own infrastructure. It does not use cookies, does not track you across sites and does not build a profile of you. We do not use Google Analytics or advertising trackers.

5. Who else is involved

We keep the list of third parties short, and none of them receives your workspace content:

• Aquedra Cloud — billing and wallet balance; receives your email address to attach charges to your account
• Hetzner — the data centre in Europe where our Kubernetes cluster and your volumes run
• Cloudflare — DNS, and the Turnstile anti-bot challenge on signup, which receives your IP address to verify you are not a bot
• Let's Encrypt — TLS certificates for the site

6. Where your data lives

The service runs on infrastructure located in Europe. If you use it from another country, your data is transferred there in order to provide the service you requested.

7. How long we keep it

Your account data is kept while your account is open. When you delete a workspace, its volume and its files are deleted; we keep a record that it existed (name, dates, events) for operational and accounting traceability.

We run a daily backup of workspace volumes to object storage. Backup copies are kept for a limited period and are rotated automatically.

If you ask us to close your account, we delete your personal data except what we must retain by law (for example, accounting records of payments).

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to a particular processing. Write to [email protected] from the address on your account and we will respond as quickly as we can.

You can delete your account yourself at any time from Account in the panel: it erases your workspaces, their disks and your personal data immediately. Your Aquedra Cloud balance lives in a separate account — write to us to close that one.

If you are in Chile, these rights come from Law 19.628 (and Law 21.719 once it applies). If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, they come from the GDPR, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Security

Each workspace runs in its own isolated, unprivileged container with its own volume: no other user can reach your files. Passwords are hashed, traffic travels over TLS, and access to your workspace requires your session.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you and take the steps the law requires.

10. Children

The service is not intended for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if you believe a minor created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
