Terms of Service
Last updated: July 30, 2026
NotebookHub is a service operated by Aquedra SpA, a company incorporated in Chile ("Aquedra", "we", "us"). These terms govern your use of notebookhub.dev and the workspaces you create through it. By creating an account you accept them.
1. What the service is
NotebookHub provisions managed workspaces on our Kubernetes infrastructure: a JupyterLab or VS Code (code-server) environment running in an isolated container, with CPU, memory and a persistent disk assigned to your plan.
The service is the environment and its operation. The code, data and results you produce inside a workspace are yours and are your responsibility.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use the service. You must provide a valid email address, keep your credentials secure and are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction. One person or organization may not create multiple accounts to circumvent trial or plan limits.
3. Free trial
New accounts get a 30-day free trial with one workspace and reduced resources. No payment method is required.
When the trial ends, your workspace is paused and creating or starting workspaces is blocked. Your files are preserved — we do not delete them when the trial expires. To keep working, upgrade to a paid plan.
The trial is offered once per person or organization, and we may adjust its length or resources for future signups.
4. Plans, credit and payment
Paid usage runs on prepaid credit held in your Aquedra Cloud account at console.aquedra.com. You top up your balance there, and NotebookHub debits it as you use the service.
We charge per hour that a workspace is actually running, at your plan's hourly rate (Starter 90 CLP, Pro 180 CLP, Team 360 CLP per hour). The first hour is debited when you create the workspace; after that we debit each further hour as it runs. Paused workspaces cost nothing. If provisioning fails on our side, the charge is refunded automatically.
Plan prices shown on the site are monthly reference prices in Chilean pesos (CLP). Any amount displayed in another currency is an approximate conversion for information only: the amount actually charged is in CLP.
Two protections apply automatically: if your balance is not enough for the next hour, we pause the workspace instead of letting the balance go negative; and a workspace that has been running for more than 8 hours straight is paused as well, so a forgotten notebook cannot drain your credit. Pausing keeps all your files.
Payments for top-ups are processed by Aquedra Cloud through its payment providers. Aquedra never stores your full card number.
We may change prices with reasonable prior notice. Price changes never apply retroactively to credit you have already purchased.
5. Your content and data
You keep all rights to the code, data and files you upload or create. We claim no ownership over them and we do not use them to train models or for any purpose other than operating the service.
We access the contents of your workspace only when it is strictly necessary to operate or repair the service, or when the law requires it.
You are responsible for having the right to process any data you upload, and for complying with the rules that apply to it.
6. Backups are a courtesy, not a guarantee
We run a daily backup of workspace volumes to object storage. This is an operational safeguard, not a guaranteed recovery service: we do not promise a recovery point or recovery time, and we cannot guarantee that a specific file can be restored.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Push your work to a git repository or download it regularly.
7. Acceptable use
Your workspace is real compute. You may not use it for:
- Cryptocurrency mining or any workload whose purpose is to consume compute for its own sake
- Attacks, scanning, brute force or any traffic directed at third parties without their authorization
- Hosting public services, proxies, VPNs or bots unrelated to analysis and development work
- Distributing malware, illegal content or content that infringes third-party rights
- Circumventing plan limits, quotas or isolation between accounts
8. Availability
We work to keep the service available and we operate it seriously, but we do not offer a service level agreement (SLA) or an uptime guarantee. There will be maintenance, updates and, occasionally, incidents.
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will be free of errors or interruptions, nor that it will fit a specific purpose of yours.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service at any time, delete your workspaces from the panel, and delete your whole account from Account in the panel. Deleting the account erases your workspaces and their disks immediately and is irreversible.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, especially section 7, or that puts the infrastructure or other users at risk. Where the breach is not serious and circumstances allow, we will notify you first.
If we terminate an account for our own convenience rather than for a breach, we will refund the unused credit balance.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for lost profits, loss of data or indirect damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including consumer rights that apply to you as a matter of law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will notify you by email or in the panel before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile, and any dispute will be submitted to the ordinary courts of Santiago, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer rights of the jurisdiction where you reside.
